Made with Starrett 496-O1 high carbon tool steel (hardened and
selectively tempered, then hard-chromed), G10 glass epoxy composite
handles, and Kydex sheaths. Great workmanship and ergonomics.
While good knives, I've developed ardent objections to the maker.
At his insistence for "engineering truth" I published in Safari Dreams his
disdainful cast-steel rifle receiver "thesis", which was quickly discredited
(and with no defense, correction, apology, or retraction from McClung).

(Ron Smith has faith in his own cast-steel M14s. That's good enough for me.)
Thus, my vintage Mad Dog knives no longer interest me, and are now for sale.
They include:

Are you still in contact with Kevin? I have one of his original A.T.A.K. knives and was wondering if he ever made a left-handed sheath for them?
Also, Since I acquired this knife back in the early 90's, I was curious if it might have been one of the prototypes.
I'm not sure if you remember, but I knew you when you lived in Durango.

Boston, I'm not sure if I could afford any of the knives that you have left, but I am interested. Would it be possible to get a list with some pictures of what is still available? If you would rather send it to my email, that is fine too.
Thankyou
Tex
