Title: Springfield M1A National Match - $1500
Post by: Mjolnir on July 10, 2012, 08:03:42 AM: This isn't my Craigslist post and I'm all set for a battle rifle. But if the M1A is your thing (last NM model I shot was nice, plastic barrel guard was a bit off-putting though), I recommend this (as long as the rifle wasn't beat to hell).

the standardization days of WWII where guys could swap parts
and ammo and be intimately familiar with a 'stranger's' rifle.

For whatever reason I've decided to cap our family standard
at the standard issue M1 Garand 30-06 supplementing with
the reliable versions of the AR-10 (Fulton, DPMS) and AR-15's.

Perhaps in the future our grandchildren will long for the simplicity
of our 2012 choices. . . .
