1982 Yamaha XJ650 Seca. Shaft drive. Comes with clear fairing, service manual, oil filters. $700 cash. In Hulett, WY. Just cleaned the carbs from multi-year storage and it runs nicely now. One fellow asked about the tires. I think they look pretty good for their age. The tread depth is at least 0.100" in the front and 0.200 in the rear.

I want to get $700 in cash or equivalent value in ham radio gear. There are some minor nits but nothing serious (I would really recommend adjusting the valves though.)

No turbo. But it does pull really nice between five and nine thousand.

How does it do on county/dirt roads and the occasional 2-track... or is it strictly street?

My driveway is about 300 feet of dirt going up the hill, with some ruts, but not too bad. The bike seems okay going up and down, but I do need to pay attention. The front suspension seems a little soft, which may be a good thing on dirt. The rear springs have an adjustment, but I have never fiddled with it. The tires are street. The front is a Metzler ME33 Laser and the rear is a ME88 Marathon.

For getting from point A to point B with some decent dirt surface, it should be okay. But it is certainly not a dirt bike.

Cool.  Not looking for a Trail bike, but one that won't balk on a reasonably traveled dirt farm/haul/county road.

Now I just gotta check with SWMBO...

Edit:  Duuuh... you have pictures on the craigslit ad... Yes, I definately need to convince SWMBO that the non-running KZ400 needs to be replaced with a running bike...
