Some people have unusual lives:

That's the first time I saw the phrase, “women’s land”.

Reading that article was like watching a movie that took 43 years to make. Highly recommended.
Excerpt: "a horizontal life rather than a vertical life"
In the underground, Feingold lived what she calls a horizontal life rather than a vertical life. In the latter, a person follows a plan, such as: go to high school, go to college, go to graduate school, enter a profession, marry, buy a home, have children, live for long periods in the same location and develop life-long friends and acquaintances. Her horizontal life, by contrast, had none of those elements. Instead of being a series of expected steps, each leading to the next, her life became a series of experiences, some of which were anticipated or connected, others not.

Most interesting.
It reinforces my belief that only the whistleblowers have any chance of
making a difference . . . while the public still cares at all.
Let's get a list here of them, starting with the 8 FBI Burglars, and Edward Snowden.
Oh, and Daniel Ellsburg of the Pentagon Papers.

Wow, thanks for that list Terence.
Didn't realize there had been so many.

What I find illuminating is that there is usually only one WB per field or industry.
The psychological and ethical requirements to be/become a WB is unique, and these
people are extremely rare. I'll bet they feel manifestly alone before, during, and after
their exposing the truth.
I think an excellent "hobby" for the libertarian wealthy elite would be to fund WBs with
a sort of Reward! poster. Set them up in another country with a monthly stipend for 5-10 years.

What an excellent use for money!
It would guarantee a steady supply of wrenches to be thrown into psychopathic constructs.
That, micro-loans (In gold) and wide-spread homeschooling would drive them batshit for decades.

Agreed. It's time people started to rattle their cages and annoy their jailers.
