Hello All,
I'm a 22 year old fellow, originally from Nebraska, currently in the army(in afghanistan). I'm single (haven't found that God fearing straight shooting gal yet). It'll be just be Me and my wonderful dog. I'm going to be getting out of the service in june. And Am planning on moving to wyoming, This summer/fall. I'm an avid shooter, and fisherman, I'm also an aspiring(but not great) trapper. I'm currently planning on buying a camper when i return to the states and living in the until i find a house to buy withing a year or two timeframe. I'm looking at being on the generally east side of wyoming.
I have experince as a diesel mechanic. I was raised in the country, so i have basic skills in awhole handful of things. I'm currently looking at jobs at the railroad, mines, etc. I'm sick of this living to work crap. Not set on being a mechanic. I know some mine workers work 7, 12 hr days in a row then get 7 off. that appeals to my work style and hobbies.
Wondering if anyone had any insight on employers?
Also looking for information on good off the beaten path rv parks?
Just looking to meet a few like minded people and hopefully get some good guidance.
Thanks in Advance,
Dave

welcome dieselgt93 I know of several RV parks in the NE side of the state. PM me and we can narrow things down a bit. I can also find out about jobs at various mines for diesel mechanics as I have several friends who work at various mines. Will you be back here in time to make it to the Jam?

Howdy Dave, glad to hear from you ! Yes if you can make it to the JAM at the end of June that would be a great way to start out Your Wyoming adventure. There are lots of folks in Wyoming who trap so you will fit right in . I have spent over 25 years working all sorts of shift work in all sorts of industrial plants and mines as an operator. Good way to make a good living and the 7 day off schedule, of which there are a couple of different on -off configerations, is a great way to have lots of days off to enjoy the wonders of Wyoming. Looking forward to meeting you ! Miles
