Title: Missed the 07 Jam
Post by: gilmore on July 16, 2007, 09:14:19 AM
Hello all,

I just discovered the FSW website and see that I missed the 2007 Jam. . . As soon as the 2008 date is set I'm going to pencil it in and hope work will not get in my way.

Going to try and spend a week or so and explore the whole state then hit the Jam. Maybe I should hit the Jam first,  tap your knowledge base and then set out. . . Your thoughts are welcome on this. . .

The bride and I are locked into AZ for a while, but are looking to be "free". What you folks are doing is something to be proud of and if things work out, I'd like to join you.

Take care,
Gilmore

Gilmore, we want you to join us so that things can work out for both you and us.

As a wife to husband who found out about this movement and has been very sincere about FSW, I want all the men who are involved and those that I have personally met to know that I am very proud and stand tall when I talk about FSW.? There are still real MEN in this country who truly understand what it is to be a man, a leader, a protector, a teacher, a father, and a rock for one another to lean on when the need arises. Thank you to the many men who will defend Our Liberty for our children and fellow countrymen.

Welcome and ditton on Brandy's comment.  The entire State of Wyoming is a great field trip  ;D  There are some great travel guides regarding Wyoming too, places to stay, eat, see, etc.

Hello Danl and Survivalmama,

Thanks for the warm words and advice.

I've run across a few of Survivalmama's posts at . . . was it opencarry.com? ? ? She talked of handing out cards when asked about her open weapon. . . Always wondered what those cards said? ? ? ?

Nope! That was me - MamaLiberty. Folks often get us confused. No biggie to me, anyway. My story is known at opencarry.org

Here is my open carry story and a link to the card I hand out. I'm about to print out my sixth dozen since I started to carry about 10 months ago.

I can see it's way past time for me to update this story. Much has happened since.

Welcome, and please PM if you'd like to talk!! ML

Welcome aboard gilmore.

Exploring Wy is best done initially by lots of research.  Start with this site and just keep drilling.  Once you get to know the state a little, it's easier to converse/ask questions.  Then there will be places you will WANT to go see.

A week is a good start, but in a state this size, won't get you very far.  Be prepared to spend a lot of time behind the wheel.  Have your significant other roll the video and take pics.  Mark up maps, make notes.  It makes the 'exploration' FUN.

See you at the jam next year.  Bring yer shootin iron.  There is usually some kind of organized shooting activity(s).  And BTW, don't worry about a burnt burger.  Planetary Jim serves them up Very Rare, and sometimes you can hear them screaming on your plate! :D.

Howdy Gilmore! :)

We weren't able to attend either :'( so know how that feels.  We're looking forward to transitioning to Wyo. sooner than later (target date is next Summer).  Where in Arizona are you (we're in Apache Junction; the far East Valley in Phoenix).  It'd be great to get together with the two of you and meet and share dreams/plans for Wyoming (a couple of patties grilling up on the bbq with some chx would be great too!).

Yours In Liberty! ~W~
