Title: Still new, but headed ya'll's way!!
Post by: Model70 on November 25, 2008, 04:39:45 PM
I'm Model70, have posted only 2 or 3 times, but had an interview last week, and am planning on being a new resident of Wyoming.  I did well on the interview, have a good job offer and am in the process of getting my ducks in a row, that I may move within the next month.  I'll be working with Union Pacific Railroad and probably living in a motel to start, since there is a housing shortage in Southwestern Wyoming.  I don't care about that, I'm just excited to be coming to Wild, Wonderful, Windy, Wyoming!!  I hope to meet some of you soon.

Some are talkers, and some are doers.  :)  Be seeing you around...

I'm a doer, already got a lot done.  Thanks for the encouragement, brothwer, but I doubt I'll be looking you up.

Good job Model70. I spent about 27 years in Southwest Wyoming so let me know if you have any questions about the area.

Huh? Boy, did everyone get a different take on what I wrote, than what I intended!  :'(

I was saying Model70 was a doer. I was not being sarcastic or anything. I was contrasting what he is doing with others who keep thinking and thinking about it forever. Sheesh!

Paul,
I'm sorry I misunderstood, too.  Usually not so brittle myself.  I do apologize and thank you for the compliment.

Wyomiles,
Thanks, and I'll maybe need some info on the area in the near future.  I want to buy a piece of ground and start readying it come springtime.  Know much about the area north of Evanston, near Almy or Bear City?  Or south of Evanston, near the Utah line?

Well I didn't spend to much time in Evanston but I believe those two places sit along a river valley. Lots of farming, mostly hay and livestock. As you go farther north you get closer to Jackson and the land prices will climb. As you go South you get closer to the Uinta Mountains. That is real nice country. Had family that lived in the Bridger Valley , East of Evanston. Again that is mostly farming / ranching land. Anywhere that you can have land in some sort of river valley or creek bottom you will have hay country. Just be sure you have irrigation rights.
