Greetings! I'm a 22 year old student in East Central Indiana, graduating in either Fall 2009 or Spring 2010. Either way, I hope to migrate by the end of 2010 at the latest. To give you a bit of background, I'm studying Networking Technology, though I could care less what I do when I get there, I'd rather get my hands a little dirty. Now, on to a couple questions:
1.) For a young person moving to Crook county, which community would you say is the best place to find affordable housing (apartment, at least to start) and a decent wage? Also, keep in mind the fact that I'm a young, single male, and would like to live somewhere with at least some opportunity when it comes to meeting members of the opposite sex.
2.) What industries are big in Crook County? I've done a little research on my own without much luck. If I were to move out there with enough money to last on for 6 months or so, what kind of job openings could I expect to find?
If you can answer either of my questions, thanks. If not, thanks nonetheless, just for being a part of this. Before I found FSW, I felt like I was completely out of options. You've restored my hope in a better, more Constitutional America.

Howdy sdclark45, Glad you found us. I will let some of the younger folks here answer your first question. :)
You may have to commute from Crook county to get into the surounding counties where the bigger industry is.
What are you doing this June ? If you can you should come to the get together.

sdclark, I'm afraid I can't give you any info, but wanted to say that your situation is very similar to mine. Looking to make the jump to WY, just out of college, IT career field, young, single male. So this thread is VERY relevant to my interests.
wyomiles, exactly when/where is this get-together? Is there a thread on this?

Yep! That's where I'm going. Laramie, specifically. The University of Wyoming is in Laramie.
