Been a long time coming, and there are still a pile of obsticles to overcome once I get back, but I am finally able to get out of Urban Dystopia and get back to Wyoming.
Grew up in Lander, so nothing but the last 20 years worth of political damage will surprise me.
Now I just gotta find a place to live and a cheap vehicle...

Welcome, we have a few members in and around Lander I believe .

Unfortunately, I won't be in Lander. Not exactly where I'll end up yet, but it probably the Torrington area. The folks who write the checks will tell me later...

Welcome here Old Ironsights (a friend from another forum) :)
Unless you grabbed his handle. Never can tell...

;) Big Piney, Torrington, Frannie, Lander? I don't think it really matters. I strayed for many years before coming home to the Wind River Country and thank God every single day that I did. Welcome home, we're glad to have you. Paul ;D

Welcome indeed, Old Ironsights! Don't hesitate to network with the FSW folks wherever you land. If you ever get up to Newcastle, plan to stop in and say howdy!

Well, once I figure a few things out, I'll be asking around for a connection to a decent (well, running, with a heater) beater 4x4 and some housing, but that won't be until mid November.

Old Ironsights,
A beater 4x4? You mean a "clunker"? I thought Uncle Obama was rounding them up and destroying them?
Don't you really want a Prius? Or an all electric 4x4? Oh! They don't make those? Maybe the Car Czar can start a new program!
Excuse the sarcasm. I just couldn't help it.
And welcome to the FSW and the forum.

Well, it ain't exactly a beater, and ain't exactly a clunker, but it was cheap and will be easy to fix whenever I need to (no computers, normal carbeuration)...
A One Owner, 1979 Chevy 1/2 ton with original topper & CB (it still works...), 160K original miles, 305 engine, minimal rust and a generally good vibe.

Looks good with my bumper stickers too.

Thats a pretty good looki old beater. You'll get your $$$$$ worth out of it and it won't owe you a thing.
