Hello, My name is Sonny Henry. I moved my family (wife, and 3 sons) from South Texas to Jackson, WY in June of 1978. I found plenty work until September and then any type of work vanished. With no work, had to move back to Texas. My family was very sac to leave as all of us loved Wyoming. We movied to NW Mississippi in 1983 to look after my parents who were in poor health. Dad passed away in april of 2005, after a long bout with cancer, mom is now 82 with major health problems.
My self and my wife have always wanted to move back to Wyoming and will do so upon Mothers passing.
I spent 35 years as a cowboy but an a little long in the toorh fro that now. I now work two and a half days a week at a feed store and in my spare time I handload ammunition. My wife is a secretary/receptionist at our local church. We have three sons, two of which have families and the youngest is single, all of which would also like to return to Wyoming. We all rely on Glenn Beck as our source of what is happening to our nation and are strong supporters of Ron Paul. I donpt know if we would fit you criteria for FSW or not, but we hope to try some day soon

C'mon up SADDLETRAMP. You'll fit just fine.

The late 70's did make a mess of Jackson. I remember townhomes going for ten grand and businesses on the square nailing plywood on their windows.
.
It's much "better" now... The actors and banksters have made Jackson their vacation property and a working stiff can't afford to stay overnight these days. Sandra Bullock now flies in on her private jet and Harrison Ford has a "ranch" there. My oh my.. how things have changed.

Welcome!
Hope everything works out well for you. Perhaps we'll see you up here some day.

Welcome! Hope you can visit soon. Take a look at the NE corner of Wyoming. We have mild winters and not much wind. Prices are pretty low and the folks are friendly. :)

sounds like you're coming home, friend. like momma we think our neck of the woods is pretty nice too. just down the road from jackson, in fact. i grew up in colorado before the boom and this is just like home used to be!! look us up when you come round, we have enough people to keep a fair job base and have acquired several new friends from people moving in. Howdy saddle tramp, and welcome! I lived in Jackson in 1973 and 74.

Just to let everyone know, I would be the oldest of the three son's Saddletramp is speaking of :-)

Well Howdy #1 son!

If you get your news from Beck, you'll fit right in.
Ditto on the NE Wyoming comments. I'm from Salt Lake originally, and Rozet is very much like SW Salt Lake was when I was growing up.
My Dad used to refer to me as #1 Son (oldest of three), but now he refers to me as his Prodigal Son. I'm not sure why, I travel back to the old homestead bi-annually and when someone important dies or gets married. What more could he want?
