This guy John Jacob Schmidt got the nod from James Rawles and then decided to
setup a radio show and communications network for Rawles' "American Redoubt".
I've been enjoying going through the website, radio show and getting
familiar with his communications plans.
His basic idea (CH3) is to have everyone tune to channel 3 on whatever
FRS, GMRS or CB they have and become local "Relays" for the longer distance
communications performed by Ham Radio operators. It's all very new and
what he's calling the AmRRON - American Redoubt Radio Operators Network.

The podcasts for this radio show have been fun though the show is
in 'hiatus' for a month or so.
I've heard about some long distance DX contacts (+1000 miles) that
could be helpful for those located within and outside of 'Redoubt' states.
