Title: The Bible according to Hollywood
Post by: Paul Bonneau on August 07, 2014, 03:29:39 PM
Recently we watched the story of Noah:

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1959490/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

One reviewer said "When Noah does acid, weird things happen". It was indeed a silly flick.

One point that struck me was that the bad people (descendents of Cain I guess) were meat eaters, while Noah et. al. were vegans. That seems backwards because, IIRC, Abel was a pastoralist and probably ate meat, while Cain offered a sacrifice of veggies to God.

Anyway if you want to watch a film that is a parody of itself, this is a good example of that genre. On to Sharknado...   :)

There was another Noah movie awhile ago. I don't remember the name of the movie. It featured Lot as a pirate who got sunk by a typhoon or something. It also featured Noah building the ark out of stacks of lumber stamped "Dixieline" on  the sides.
