I have been invited (after forwarding to the host an essay about April 19, 1775 from Fred of RWVA fame ) to speak as a guest on a radio talk show tomorrow.
My goal was to commemorate the battles of Lexington and Concord and remind people of the great sacrifice that was made for our American freedom. I figure I can also mention my involvement with the RWVA and our work toward preserving the heritage of the citizen militia and rifle marksmanship.
Anyone want to offer any pointers? I'm not really used to being in the media spotlight.

Congratulations, and good luck!
Keep your answers succinct and to the point, until you
grow practiced at focused rambling.
Smile as you speak, and they will hear that.
If you don't smile, you'll sound boring and monotonic.
Don't be afraid to laugh, chuckle, etc.
I.e., sound as if you're having a hoot of a time.
Mention the RWVA by name and website every segment.
If you've an overly talkative host, it is your duty to but in
and dominate the dialogue. You're the guest, and people
have ostensibly tuned to hear mostly you, not him (else
he wouldn't need any guests).

You are going to be having a conversation with another person, focus on that person, forget your on the radio,I know it's hard to do. Relax and have fun. You know your stuff, you will be great! Boston is right, smile. Miles

It went pretty well!
Everyone I've talked to who listened to the show reported that it was great and several callers called in to thank her for giving coverage to Patriot's Day!
I'll post a link to the .mp3 when I get it up on the web and y'all can hear it.
Thanks for the support!
