Well my wife & I are both at our new place for good.
Feels good to be a wyoming resident rather than a michigan resident.
Hopefully things will continue to work well, and I believe they will.
Thanks to all who helped, no matter how small.

Congratulations! Come visit any time you are up this direction! Are you coming to the campout here the end of August? We need to do some more shooting! :)

Good deal 308! Welcome to Wyoming!
-
That's GREAT news 308! Really happy for you and your wife. A new beginning. A new adventure!
I hope all your hopes and dreams of coming to WY are realized.

we will at the camp out if at all possible
hopefully we will have jobs soon, and hopefully we be able to work those around the camp out
-
Where did you go after we met in Casper?
-
I think you will find that you're not going to be missing the freezing mud, freezing rain, and perpetually
overcast skies a whole lot. ;D
If your lived in a more rural area, a problem you will find over time is that the "michigan smell" doesn't
come out of clothes too well. Various lysterine based witches brews will kill off residual molds and fungus
to some degree.
But even still, some items will start to smell more "funky" as your sense of smell adapts to a cleaner
and more arid non-swampy environment.
Oxyclean might help a little bit on big items like curtains, possibly even ordinary old borax(which also
inhibits fungus).
Ultimately, if it's not a keepsake of some sort, you might want to pitch it.
Other than that, enjoy the middle of nowhere, the lack of traffic, and not having the chew your air. :)

Welcome 308shooter !
That thing you sold me hasn't exploded yet :-)
Best wishes,
Clem

Well my wife & I are both at our new place for good.
I'd say "welcome", but I'm in no position to, not being there myself yet. But the thought remains, welcome.
I'm curious... it seems like we're seeing more of these posts lately, that the influx into WY is accelerating. Any truth to that? Does anyone know how many FSW members and fellow travellers are in-state now?
-
we are in casper so unfortunately not in a very rural area. we were actually in a much more rural area in michigan but hopefully we can get to a more rural area in the future
vonu- after meeting you we went up the festival and after that went back to michigan to settle affairs, give notice to my job and work a few weeks after that, etc and now i'm back to stay

Nobody is keeping track - at least from our end, far as I know. It's a freedom/privacy thing...

Yep, best damn thing about this "freedom" business is the "don't mess with me, and I gladly return that same favor"... if you want something, ask... but don't expect me to abide. If I do, be happy. If I don't, then that's that. Get over it and ask someone else.
At first it kinda hurts not getting docile cattle to converse with about the virtues of slavery. After awhile it becomes quite a satisfying life to be free, even in the middle of slavishly devoted follower havens. Even there, freedom is still the rule, not the exception. That the vast majority want to be slaves is their prerogative, and I hold it not against them. Their loss, not mine. I merely say "good riddance".
And I wish you all who have already made it there, a lot of luck, fortune and blessings.

On most SMFs, those stats would be available, even if one had to manual count, but not here.

Well, I wasn't trying to pry, and I'm perfectly happy with "we don't know and wouldn't tell you if we did". It would be nice to know that a lot of people are making the move, but I agree, it's nicer that no-one knows.

Someone does care enough to guesstimate:
