Greetings
« on: July 02, 2006, 07:13:43 PM »
My Name is Dan and I've been looking into FSW for a number of months now.  I'll give a short biography and some current info about myself.

I was born in Hampton Roads, VA and am the 2nd of 3 boys (my poor mother).  My family moved to Oregon in 1995 as my dad was fed up with NASA and began teaching at Oregon Tech where he is still employed.  I was raised in a Christian home and am glad for the moral base that I have established underneath me.  However, being 20 years old I struggle with finding what is right, and when I do find what is right I have trouble DOING what is right.  I had always taken a conservative view on politics but with the rise of King George I have learned that conservative does not mean republican.

I am a history major at the University of Idaho and will be a junior this fall.  I was involved with College Republicans, but they all seem to be more interested in facism than smaller, controlled government and for this reason I do not plan to attend this coming year.  You may have seen posts by Laurel and mikeyali1776, I was fortunate to become good friends with them this past year and the three of us constantly talk of and plan for the future (which hopefully lies in Wyoming).  Mike knew I was looking for a rifle and was kind enough to purchase an SKS for me at a recent gun show in Spokane.

I do not know what lies ahead for me after college career or grad. school wise.  I have toyed with the ideas of law school or med. school.  But, doing wildland firefighting this summer has really peaked my interest in that field.

So I'm just another youngin' who loves freedom and who is just trying to figure life out.

I forgot to also mention that I read most of BTP's Boston's Gun Bible (well done Boston) and received Bulletproof Privacy for my birthday and plan to read that very soon.

Welcome Dan,

I once thought of law school, I read several books by Gerry Spence, and he has a law ranch or something near the center of the state....might look into that.

Spence "lives" in Jackson, The "Lawyers School" is on his ranch just outside of Dubois, WY.
