As for places to look for living-  I am most familiar with the western side of the state.  I really have no idea about what is on the other side of interstate 25.  I do know it is beautiful over near the Black Hills.  When you do visit wyoming, and if you get to Sheridan, check out a little town south of there called Story.  Very nice place with lots of trees.
