Looks like I can take a business trip and make it personal if I drive and bring the family. Not 100% yet, but I have to decide ASAP.
First the event is one day in Jackson Hole, so I need a hotel in jackson hole for one night, insane prices I've found like 199 for one night at super 8! No worries work covers that, but I'd like to take the second nights lodging and not stay in jackson hole so I can stretch my expense money. I WILL stay in jackson hole for the night before the board test so no option there I want to fully rested and on time. After the test I don't mind driving a bit.
Basically here is the deal, I enter WY via I80 from the east and spend the night in the Cheyenne area (it'll be a 14 hour drive coming from NW Indiana). From there will depend on my schedule of when I leave and when I come back. I'll be making a circle of Wyoming basically. Don't know if it'll be clockwise or counter clockwise because I have to be in jackson hole on the 13th of august so whatever day of the 2 week-ish trip that falls will determine the route.
I want to hit The tetons and yellow stone obviously. Other then being in jackson hole for that one day I'm completely wide open on where to go to and stay. Trips across state lines briefly into Idaho or Montana are possible as well. I will be bringing tents and a cooler for some camping, but mainly plan on staying in hotels... setting up a camp site for one night with the wife and 1 and 3 year olds is too much work. In areas where we might spend 2 or 3 days (maybe yellowstone) then the tent can go up.
Thanks in advance!
