Hello All
« on: June 24, 2009, 03:58:54 PM »
I am interested in learning more about Wyoming and this movement. I am looking to relocate out of my current state because of the real ID. I would like to move to more rather than less freedom. I am a homeschooling mother of 5 (4 at home still). My Husband is a Wastewater Plant Operator who is certified Level 4 Wastewater and Level 3 Water in both our home state of New Mexico and in Wyoming. I am very interested in sustainable living and would like to find a home where he would have work and we could have a decent size piece of land for gardening and livestock keeping, and where we could live in a single wide while we build our own home. My big concerns with Wyoming are whether they may implement the Real ID, and the requirement of some school district oversight of homeschool curriculum choices.  I look forward to meeting y'all.

I just went and looked. Go here:

http://legisweb.state.wy.us/2009/billindex/BillCrossRef.aspx?type=ALL

...and scroll down to SF0038, "Real ID compliance".   :(

But see also this bill from last year:

http://legisweb.state.wy.us/2008/BillIndex/BillCrossRef.aspx?type=ALL

...scroll down to HJ0005 (which did not pass unfortunately).

It appears the stance of Wyoming government is to complain, but comply.  >:(

Thank you very much for this information. I went to those web sites and looked at those bills. I am disappointed, but I really needed to know before making a big move.
