FSW .999 silver coins -- NOW SOLD OUT!
« on: January 24, 2006, 01:29:58 PM »
(NOTE:? Updated 4/6/2006.)

Own a piece of Free State Wyoming in your pocket!?
And once you've moved to Wyoming, trade it with your FSW neighbors!
?
? ? * Actual size: 39mm diameter
? ? * 1 oz. of .999 fine silver
? ? * Beautiful design in high relief

Of the original 1,000 coin minting, less than 100 coins are left. Order now while supplies last and spot silver price remains at $10! (Prices to be adjusted as necessary.)? These coins have proven very popular even amongst people not moving to Wyoming!

Silver has increased in price from the $7 it was when these coins were minted.? Basically, our price is spot + $13 postpaid (which is a bargain for these rare coins!).?

Once the 2005 coins are sold out, we are not likely to mint future coins because of the expense of the 1,000 coin minimum order from the mint.? So, we've less than 10% left, and they will be sold out by summer 2006.

No quantity sales; only one coin per customer/address.

Proof coins are SOLD OUT.

Terms: Cash only, to:

Javelin Press
P.O. Box 31SC
Ignacio, Co. 81137-0031

6 April 2006 price update.

Since silver is rapidly climbing and just closed over $12,
we now accept orders only based on the postmarked
date of spot price (+ $13:? $10 premium and $3 S&H).

The below image is from:
http://kitconet.com/images/sp_en_6.gif

Take spot price, round up/down to the nearest dollar,
add $13, and send that amount in cash.? (Print out the
spot quote and include with order, please.)

They also age very nicely.  Notice that no matter much the USA takes a beating, Wyoming is still on top!

FAQ:  "What is that little bump around Texarkana?"

I didn't know this until after the coins had been minted--and you'll find this incredible--but it is part of the Ozark range called...Boston Mountains.  I kid thee not!

Here is the reverse side of this artificially aged coin:

Marvin, I suspect that he grins because he knows he free in Wyoming!

***********
(NOTE:  Updated on 3/11/2006.)

Plenty of books I'll have at the Jam, but the coins might be gone by then.
FSW silver coins are now $18@ (+$2 S&H).? CASH ONLY!? NO EXCEPTIONS!

If you've been wanting a coin or several, I'd move on it ASAP.?
They're nearly gone (<100 left), and if I were really smart I'd
drastically increase the price of these last ones--or just keep 'em
for myself as my lifetime's supply of gifts/heirlooms.

I'm just quirky enough to do either with no notice (though all orders will be
honored according to their postmark and website details on that date).

Will there be 2006 coins?? So highly unlikely that I can almost say, "No."
2007 or beyond coins?? Maaaybe, but the 1,000 coin minimum minting is an expensive hurdle to clear.?

In short, the 1000 biz strikes and 100 proofs are very possibly the only FSW
coins that will ever exist.

Thanks for your coin order, Dave.

Lady Liberty is doing the FSW goodies, but she's been swamped.
I'll ask her post some new info on this soon.

Brought forward from the archives--(This offer is still valid)
Date: Sat, 24 Dec 2005 18:32:22 -0000
From: "Dennis Lee Wilson"
Subject: The "Wyoming" silver coin as money

As a Free State Wyoming (FSW) supporter and FSW2006 member, I have
decided to offer a special discount pricing to other FSW supporters in
a way that also encourages the use of Boston's "Wyoming" as money. If
my shop was physically located in Wyoming (someday), the process would
be simple, but the shop is in virtual reality so the process is a bit
more complex, but still very real.

Your FREE STATE WYOMING 1 OUNCE SILVER COIN is worth $20 toward any
purchase at my Artemis Zuna Trading Post: http://www.cafepress.com/ArtemisZuna

While this offer is in effect, when you order $20 worth of items or
more, I will redeem your FREE STATE WYOMING 1 OUNCE SILVER COIN for a
$20 Federal Reserve Note (FRN). And I will do this for any multiples
of $20 in your order. If your order is more than $40, I will redeem
two (2) FREE STATE WYOMING 1 OUNCE SILVER COINs for $20 each, $60
order can redeem 3 coins, etc. up to $200 order - 10 coin maximum per
order.

How it works:

Within one week after you have placed your order for Caf=E9Press items
from my shop, send an email to DennisLeeWilson@Yahoo.com  notifying me
of your order, your mailing address and how many FREE STATE WYOMING 1
OUNCE SILVER COINs you would like to redeem for a $20 Federal Reserve
Note each. I will confirm your email with a PGP signed email.

CafePress (where my shop is) offers a 30-day money back guarantee on
all products. After the CafePress 30-day return-items period has
expired, I will send you (via US Postal Service) the number of $20
FRNs as promised (adjusted for any returned items, of course) and you
will send the agreed upon FREE STATE WYOMING 1 OUNCE SILVER COIN(s) by
return mail.

This offer may be withdrawn at any time. All orders placed during this
offer will be honored.

Dennis, GREAT idea! I will make the same offer.
I will accept FSW coins for any products that I offer, up to $200.
This goes for books, or Diatomaceous Earth Products.

Books: I have Vin's Books and JJ Luna's "Work From Home At Any Age".
DE products: visit http://www.freshwaterorganics.com and let me know what products you want. Knock 20% off and that is your price. [Example - if you want 5 1# bas of FSF it is $5 a bag. That is $25. Now take 20% off, that is $20. A $20 coin is all you would pay. another example: A 50# bag of FSF is $25. Less 20% = $20.... one coin]
To save on shipping, let me know what books and DE you want and I will bring it to the Jam.
With earthbags, we can build dirt cheap homes that last forever
one bag at a time. Although Wyoming isn't just for dirtbags...

Wow, that's pretty neat.  I wouldn't part with mine when I get it though.  Granted the FSW coin many have some collector value above the spot price of silver, but $20??? I want mine as a piece of history (If we are blessed it will be a Great one) and a tangible representation of something I believe in.  I don't understand why someone would give such a great premium to money, in this case silver, or how that could be a good business decision--but to each his/her own.  I love freedom...lol.  I also like the idea of using real money for transactions and almost paid my FSW statement of intent in silver, but it was so much easier to party with those green things that aren't going up in value...of course, it's their value in green things that they are going up in.  Hey, it's confusing for someone who has only recently had his sunglasses pulled off.  However, I know cost of printing those coins is an issue and I would be willing to pay a much higher premium for a 2006 or 2007 one;).  It's not an investor or collector issue but a desire for me.  Hey, if we could get enough people to pay for one in advance maybe we could get a new one made that way...just a thought.

Hey, Dennis, thanks for kicking this off!
It'll be interesting to see the monetary vs. collector utility of these coins.

That's possible, and I like the idea.
I'm just not keen on fronting 1000oz. of my own silver again.
If somebody else wants to, we can figure out a fair arrangement.
I'd really like to see yearly minting of these FSW coins.

Dear Boston,

That little bump of the Ozarks is pretty interesting.  There are a number of little ranges of fairly tall mountains - not by Rocky standards but more than just hills.  The Ouachita mountains in there are one of the places where Jesse James is reputed to have hidden a huge stash of Confederate gold.

Regards,

Jim
My long posts make some think I'm a key figure in FSW.  I'm not. I'm not an officer nor a leader.  I'm just this guy.  I think FSW is a great idea, & defend & promote it as I'm able.   Assuming that anyone agrees w/me is mistaken. Your bad results from your poor assumptions are your responsibility.

Thanks.? It felt gutsy.? Was an odd feeling to UPS off 95lbs. of silver.
But it's been fun for hundreds of people, and it's paid off for me.

The real bright folks are the ones who bought proofs at $25!
What the *%#@ was I thinking?? Should have initially charged $50-100.

Smart man, and thanks for your order.?

I really am toying with the idea of keeping the last 100 for myself, meaning
only 50 of the 150 left would be for sale.?

I'm also considering selling what's left only as singletons (i.e., not in quantity).

Finally, I'm considering bumping the price up to $20@ from $16.
To own this coin for just $6 (or even $10) over spot is a damn bargain.
Probably too much of a bargain.

(Regardless of all this, I will retain 20 coins to be sold at the Jam.)

Y'all been warned...

3/11/2006 NOTE:  Singleton orders only, $20 cash postpaid.
