That is depressing!
I've read articles about Detroit trying to have all the excess land farmed. One or two developers want the city to give them big chunks of the city that have been abandoned. The city wants them to pay something for the land.
I also heard about a bunch of artists that bought one of the $50 houses and now they are getting their friends to move to Detroit and buy the houses next door. I think they have 5 or 6 as of now. It shows that if you know your neighbors it makes the place a little safer.
I guess that knocks Detroit off the list of places I may someday live. :-)
