Hello everyone.

I have been popping in and out of this forum for about 6 years now. I suppose an introduction is due.
(It feels funny to introduce myself to a group of people whom I feel like I already know.)

I am a young man living in central Texas dreaming of sharing a piece of your Wyoming freedom.

Currently I live in a small town about 40 miles north of Austin(statist stronghold).
I earn a living as a commercial refrigeration contractor. I spend my free time shooting, fishing, climbing, hiking, reading, tinkering or whatever else I can get into.

Somewhere around aught two or three my brother put a little green book in my hand.
The BGB changed the course of my life for the better and has led me to this movement(for lack of better term).

Wyoming sounds like home. Now I just need to figure out how to get there.
So the task of researching for a place that fits me just rite begins.

Who knows, maybe ill make the trip up there this June.

Welcome, Adam.  Jump in once in a while and perhaps we'll see you in June!

Welcome indeed! If you have womenfolk, please get them involved in the forum too! We'd love to talk. See you in June!

Hi, Adam!

We live in East Texas (between Houston and Dallas) and are working toward the Jamboree in June...and a move as soon as possible after that.
Good to meet you - WY sounds like a dream come true, doesn't it?  Hard work, honesty and freedom...what more could we want? ;)

Adam,
Glad to finally "meet" you. At least TX is not nearly so bad as some statist strongholds. Not bad at all from what I hear.

But freedom is in the eye of the beholder I suppose.

Thanks for the warm welcome.

ML, I'll do that for sure.

THB, I certainly couldn't ask for anything more.

MFN, Texas as a whole is not that bad. Austin however leaves a lot to be desired.  The police chief prides himself on his "no refusal" forced blood draw policy for suspected DWI stops.
And last month the city counsel passed an ordinance banning plastic bags in grocery stores. They come up with some new way of saving people from themselves every month.
To rephrase one of Boston's quotes. Texas may be the least sick patient in the cancer ward, but it is still sick.

Thanks again for the welcome.

I'm continually amazed at what people are willing to put up with. I wouldn't.
