Irony? Sarcasm? I'm not sure which. Might be neither.

It's nice that cops acted in so restrained a manner, compared to their usual savagery. It's nice that Portland bigwigs tolerate a World Naked Bike Ride (a ride I would like to watch some day). And it is really nice that Portlanders are so enthused about the ride that it attracts 8000 participants.

Tried to get a mental image of naked bike riders, but I can't quite manage it... just thinking about all that potential road rash makes my nurse nerves go to full alert. Couldn't actually stand to watch it myself, but to each his/her own. :)
