Wyoming, best place to drive
« on: February 19, 2015, 10:44:06 AM »
Wyoming is number 1 in this metric. I have to admit, the time I spent there was not very worrisome about getting pulled over, and the couple of times I was pulled over the cops were decent and respectful, and let me slide on some of the pissant regulations. Cops in Cody even wave at you...

As a professional "speeder", I have to agree with the rankings.

Once, a WHP stopped me for doing about 87 in a 65.  Totally busted on a small road,
where I'd taken a chance of enforcement vacuity.

"A little fast," was his opening remark.  Heh, not a Nazi.
I chatted with him, ask for a warning, and got one.

That NEVER would have happened in Texas.

This ranking indirectly points to why I chose Wyoming for the FS_.
Even the police are pretty decent here.

last year I was pulled over by a Torrenting cop (I think that is the right spelling) first words out of his mouth was " going a like fast there, what the hurry?"
told him about the Jam, and that I had been driving awhile and was looking forward to getting there.
He let me go with a warning and to slow down. never said anything about me being from ILL.
I think therefore I am not a progressive liberal socialist marxist democrat
