They are relaxed camping weekends where FSW Members, Associates, and Friends get together in Wyoming.? Together we enjoy outdoor cookouts, shooting events and gun safety instruction, local tours, and fellowship.
We've had two Jamborees--both were well attended and lots of fun.? Attendees come from as far as Oregon and New York, and everywhere in between!
An article on our First Annual FSW Jamboree in 2004 was written by attendee/Friend Nathan Barton:?
Free State Wyoming’s First Jamboree A SuccessOur second Jam was also in Crook County, and with twice the previous year's attendance--necessitating three Porta-Potties on site.? Though we endued soggy conditions, no amount of rain dampened our spirits.
Our Third Annual FSW Jamboree will be in May 2006 (date/location details announced very soon), and we expect about 100 folks there.? There is a nominal admission fee (about $30) which includes our Saturday night BBQ banquet.?
I have in the past offered my defensive firearms skills courses, and plan to do so this May.? Basic Handgun and Intermediate Rifle are the most likely.
The Jamborees are quite informal, with very little scheduled.? People congregate, separate, come and go as they please--which is just how we all like it!? Young and old, single and married, religious and not, shooters and spectators--all are welcome at the Third Annual FSW Jamboree!
