visiting/potentially moving/hunting
« on: July 03, 2006, 03:57:34 PM »
I'm a newbie here; first time on the forum.? My wife and I are planning a trip to Wyoming in September.? We plan to pull our travel trailer, set up for a couple of weeks and travel around the state, looking for potential living sites.? We would appreciate any help or suggestions.? ?Also, I wonder if there is a chance for me to hunt part of that time.? Any public land?? What does a license cost?? Best part of the state for elk, antelope and deer.?
Thanks for any help or suggestions,.

Senior Tech,
Welcome! We're so glad to meet you!

If you come through Newcastle, plan to stop and visit. I have plenty of land where you can set up your trailer and will be glad to let you have water and power if needed.

Just PM for more information if you are interested.

I don't know anything about the hunting, but there are several deer who are eating my bushes that you could have with my blessing, but they'll be in hiding as soon as hunting season comes along. How do they know? LOL

Almost half the state is "public" land.

We may be in Wyoming by September, give me a PM around that time to make sure I'm available, if you will be up in the NW corner. We'll try a little hunting, maybe (you will be getting out of state tags of course). Wapiti, west of Cody...

What type of hunting are you interested in ?  How much experience do you have ?  After you get done with the regulations that  Jared posted let us know what you are thinking of going after .  We might be able to hook you up with some fellow hunters .   Miles
