John, thank you for the information, it is something I definately will be looking into. And to Boston, just knowing that you have read this thread is a real morale booster for me. I thouroly (? on spelling), support the ideals, methods, and people with this community. The majority of my family think I am absolutly nuts for my new found beliefs, except for my sister. She has even told her hubby, Who is in Iraq right now, she wants an armory, w/ a minimum of 1000 rnds per weapon, and reloading equipment. She is purchaseing my Glock 20 from me this weekend, and as a welcom home gift for her husband she is getting him a Springfield Armory SOCOM II.  :(  I am jelous. Sorry I digress, my stepfather is a conservative, north shore of Chicago, white collar type, who does not like firearms, and thinks the goverment cannot be changed. Boston he is one of those who will lie down and roll over if the USG says so. And the reaction when my mom bought a Glock 19C. Priceless. I do appologize, I can be a bit of a rambler, but this is the most comfortable forum I have been in. If I can get access to a printer this weekend I am going to send in the Statement of intent,w/ the money, unfortunately I will not be able to sign it, for I do not know when I can move there. But I would like to know how to further the cause in GA when I get down there, does anyone have any Ideas? Once again thank you to everyone.

Well, its now down to the final week til I move to GA, and honestly I don't know wether to be happy or sad. Happy because I'm getting to be w/ my son, sad because I am not heading out to WY. I recieved "Molon Labe!" friday afternoon, and finished it in about 12 hours. I could not put it down. If for no other reason than my son, I would be there in a heartbeat. I definately see many parallels in our society today as in the book. I know it is fiction, but WOW, the possibilites alone. anyways, I finally took possetion of my FAL today, havent had time to put a few rounds through it, but I do have ammo for it. For me A firearm w/o ammo is as usless as a condom w/ a hole in it. Wasn't able to get the money in the mail this weekend, son's mother needed money for gas, job interview. Even though I may be in GA soon, and not a member, anything I can help with, for anyone, All you need to do is ask, and I'll be there.

Bless you, son. I hope you can figure out a way to bring at least your son with you out here soon. I wish I could give you some good advice about helping change things in GA, but I'm afraid I have no idea that is even possible. I hope, for your sakes, I'm wrong.

God bless and keep you all, and I'll be praying that your son's mother can join us too. MamaLiberty

I guess I am at a loss here, I want to be there in Wyoming, but my son is in GA. Can anyone offer any suggestions, its a bit lonley out here.

Wow Kirbey.

I am in Georgia too...up north, by Lake Lanier.

I am here because my daughter's grandmother is close by and it's a great place to finish my flight training and take my first baby steps toward an aviation career I started a few years ago. After reading Molon Labe, I too really wanted to relocate to WY and participate in freedom. It'll be a few years before I have the experience to submit resumes for teh kinds of jobs I want out there...we'll see how it works out.

In teh meantime, we just found out we're pregnant...with twins. That's another life detail that may curtail our move. We're going to need a LOT of help and don't really have anyone out in WY.

Again though, we'll see how it works out.

Where in Ga are you? I moved here from Hawaii and it's been like being rescued from a communist people's state! I carry a handgun every day and nobody says anything about it...I even know other folks who do the same thing! People here are largely a little too republican for their own good...but many of them are beginning to see the light.

This Fair Tax thing is getting a LOT of momentum here in Georgia.

Lets get together.

John,
I will be in the gwinnett county area in 7 days, around Lilburn, heck we're practicly neighbors.  After I get down there, and see my boy, I will be going to the range for some much needed stress relief. Let me know if you are intrested in tagging along, I have a couple of friends that want to learn to shoot, and its always more fun when there is a group. talk to you soon.

Greetings one and all. I have made it to GA, found work, a place to live right now, and now going to try to fight for custody for my son. A lot has happened in the last month, for one my ex took my son on the road with her and her abusive soon-to-be ex-husband. My boy was supposed to start school 1 1/2 weeks ago, Kindergarden mind you but he does need a bit of structure in his life. I can't say his education will be the greatest, but that is why I am planning to supplement what the government shools lack. Anyways that's another course of topic.

The work I found is at a marina on Lake Lanier, a bit of everything, yard and boat maintenance, even my commercial diving cert will be put to use for a few upcoming projects. there are several ranges here in the area, both indoor and out, but I still havent had a chance to shoot my FAL, lack of funding for ammo. but soon.

To John Corry, I'm at starboard cove marina in flowery branch, stop on by if you ever get a chance.

once again to all the freedom loving patriots out there, if anyone passes thru GA, look me up, you have a place here, till I move out to WY that is.

Keep the Faith everyone.

Greetings one and all from the peach state!!!!!  I know it's been a while scince bieng here, but I have unlimited access to a computer for a bit. On the freedom front, I have made a couple of friends and know some more people down here who are now intrested in firearms and RKBA, and hopefully will be checking out the organization. On the employment front, I might be able to get a diving job down in New Orleans 30 on/30 off, and with the pay involvedbe able to finally start getting an RV then some property here in GA and mabey in WY or AR.  My best friend is in AR and is of the same freedom oriented mindset as we are, and so is the rest of his family.  At least Arkansas is headed in the right direction towards WY.  On the personal side, my son is finally in school and back in town.  Unfortunately he had fallen out of the top bunk of the truck and broke his collarbone.  The Ex didn't take him to the Dr. till 4-5 days later. Department of Family And Childrens Services is involved fortunately, and attorneys have been called.  Hopefully w/in the next year he'll be with me.  Anyways if any associate/friend/member happens to be in GA, drop a line, and lets get out to the range.

Friends till the end,

p.s.  Boston, if you read this, just out of curiosity, did you ever get a response to your "Letter to a Columbine Student?"

Kirby, I hope things are going well for you . So is your diving job out on those oil rigs ? I am an operator and had thought about working that 30 on 30 off shift out on those rigs once.
Have you told your friend in AR about us? Maybe he or others in his family would like to join in on our conversations. It's always nice to have more voices in this choir .
Hang in there with your son I am praying for you.   Miles

Kirby, the "Letter" was an open one not directly
sent to her by me, but I've heard that somebody
photocopied those pages for her.

Will report any reply I ever receive.

Meanwhile, I hope and your boy can RV out to Wyoming
sometime, especially for our Jamboree.

to all my freedom loving friends and Patriots,

I am unhappy to announce that I will be leaving Georgia to head back to the communist state of Illinois. My fathers health has been waning, and I had moved too early to come down here, struggling financially that is. However the good news is, I am trying to get some dive work, especially in the international market, and the plan is to semi retire in about 3-4 years. My girlfriend is supportive w/ the carrer thing, but is a bit wary on moving out of state, (Georgia is fine, but I have to get her to see Wyoming soon).  In addition, I should have enough money saved up to get custody of my son, so there would be at least 2 new residents in WY, mabey 3 if the girlfriend/soon-to-be fiance comes along.  My armory will be expanding while in IL, My girlfriend was a victim of a hot home invasion, and is now thinking of a 12 gauge. Fortunately a shotgun IS Legal in city of Chicago. gotta hate those gungrabbing, bleeding heart, pansy-arsed, room temerature IQ, FUBAR'd liberals.

anyways gotta run for now

Keep the faith, and your aim steady,

Kirbey, I'm so sorry your father isn't doing well. God bless you for going to him when he needs you.

Glad to hear you may be able to get custody of your son. I'll keep you and your family in my prayers.

Kirbey

Would your ex consider at least temporary custody of your son so she can straighten out her marriage issues?

I commend you for trying to be a good dad.  Sounds like he is going to need one.  Please stay involved and keep fighting for your son.

It's heartbreaking to read about him being physically abused - I truly don't know what I would be capable of if someone abused my little boy (or daughter).

Keep the faith, it's worth it for your boy!

God bless

When it rains it pours. As an inmate here in the peoples republik of Illinois, life has had many turns the last couple of months. Along w/ my father not doing too well, found out last week my stepmom was diagnosed w/ cancer in the lymph nodes, just after having a masectomy right before chistmas. As far as my son is concerned, I do have steady work now and am sending the child support, (still no court order yet), and my girlfriend/fiancee's father is loaning me money to pay the retainer for an attorney to fight for custody. And a bit more good news, My brother-in-law is home from Iraq for 2 weeks, pluss 8 weeks left when he returns tto the sandbox. For christmas, my sister gave him a new SA SOCOM II. She said he didn't put down for a 1/2 hour, ;D. And he and I are making plans to be at the jamboree this year, take a week off drive out there, and have some fun. Just have to get the missus permission first. ;D. other than that, just trying to get out to the range as much as possible before Mayor Daley goes full commie on us here in Chicago.

Keepin the powder dry and the knife sharp,

Kirbey
