SMF (the software) defines things a bit differently than I was used to from working with other sofware. Still have to correct myself on occasion. So, I've decided to post the terminology we decided up on when setting up the forum. Hopefully this will help anyone reading some of the admin posts. I believe thanks go to Paul B for creating this list initially.
"forum" is the overall thing (ie Free State Wyoming Forum)
"category" is the next level down, which is collapsible in view (ie Prospective Free State Wyoming (FSW) Members and Interested Parties)
"board" is the next level down (ie Welcome to Free State Wyoming (FSW))
"topic" are the threads in the boards (ie this thread)
It is also possible for boards to have sub-boards
Anyway, hope this helps clear things up a bit.
