ellie,
I might as well chime in here since I recently escaped from the PROC (People's Republic of . . .)
Yes, I lived there with my family for 25 years until I ecaped into the promised land of NV about 3 years ago. I'm here by myself. The rest of the family was turned back at the border! They only reason they let me pass is because I'm retired and no longer pulling the yoke, no longer supporting the hordes of Socialists living off the blood and sweat of the productive class. OK, so I exaggerate, but yes, my wife and two daughters are still there, living in Fremont (Bay Area).
I frequently make trips back to the occupied territories, but of couse that entails putting my Glock into a locked box when I make the drive. State law. And much of what I own would be a felony to even bring into the state. There was no end to the Clinton-Feinstein AWB in CA. No, they have their own much more onerous laws there. Of course they also have "girlie man" Governator Arnnie that decided to ban all 50 caliber weapons as well. You know how many crimes those have been use in, right (can you say ZERO)?
I frequently ride my bicycle over to the occupied lands. It's only about 10 miles from where I live out here. As soon as I hit the CA border there are signs declaring the area as a "wilderness area". No ATVs, no motorcycles, no cars, no trucks, no bicycles. They're protecting it you see. Protecting it from anyone who might want to enjoy the area. Seems like the only thing that's fitting to do over there is take a P. That seems appropriate to me. Very symbolic. Who me? Bitter?
Well, I hope you make it to WY before you burst! (you can take that two ways considering your condition!) We need people like you and your family to fill in the wide open spaces of WY with people who care about freedoms and liberties. Good luck to you and yours!
Mac
So here I am, in kind of a staging area for moving to WY. This place is much better. Much. But not perfect. Local politicians are passing laws and restricting freedoms as fast as their little pens can legislate. Sad but true.
