Hi Sara!
Well, I birthed two of the three girls at home...people freaked! But oh well, maybe things have mellowed out since then (1988, 2001)...CNM's practice in Wyo, but lay-midwifery is against the law

...the midwestern mindset is still somewhat in the 50's and 60's, sometimes quaint yet antiquated.
Massage therapy is a booming business here. Sheridan College in Sheridan Wyo has a 2 year massage therapy certificate and there is also a school in Hill City, South Dakota. From what I understand, the licensing test is in CO, so if you get licensed out there, it will most likely be accepted here. If you want more info, PM me and I'll give you some contanct info (real people in the know). Most MT's work in conjunction with physical therapists or day spa's and at resort areas. I'm seeing allot more MT's in rest-homes also. ?Some work from their homes or make house calls. Places...Jackson, Cody, Sheridan, Cheyenne, Casper, Gillette...If you are looking at part-time, any town once you get your shingle out. Alternative medicine/therapies are becoming SO much more mainstream, even here in the wilds of Wyoming!
I homeschool my youngest (13). Wyoming is very homeschool friendly (in most cases/counties). Crook County is totally willing to lend textbooks. Some parents even take their children to the public school for band/choir, science and extra-curricular sports. All a moot point for us, we just live too far away.
hope this helps a little...
onward...
Tamara
