SE So Cal--Introduction/checkin' in
« on: February 18, 2007, 01:25:57 PM »
Howdy folks.  CatDaddy Jack here from SE So Cal.  Here to learn what I can, share what I can.

I spent lots of time up there in WY.  About 20+ years ago, hauled sheep from just about all points that a goat and a truck could be found--mostly Rock Springs/Fargo area--even out on top of the Continental Divide.

Got questions--just ask.  I'll answer if I can.

Thanks for having me!

Never hear anyone refer to their location in Kalifornia as SE So. Cal! >:D
Barstow maybe? I'm about 2.5 NE of there on the free side of the CA/NV border. But not for long if I can sell this house of mine. Then I'm heading directly north to WY!

Welcome to our forum!

Howdy Jack, I spent some time in Sweetwater County. Love those Windrivers.  Miles

Thank y'all for the welcome!

MamaLiberty:  Home is Mississippi--I lived in CA while hauling those sheep out of WY, and am still in CA.  But thanks for the invite!!
There is something about WY that appeals to the country-boy in me!

manfromnevada:  Spent lots of time in NV also, bringing cattle and sheep down to SE So Cal.  But you are off just a tad--SE So Cal, where I'm at, is just about 60 miles west of Yuma, AZ + 40 miles North of the MX border at Calexico, CA/Mexicali, B.C., MX.

And Barstow, CA--spent plenty of time emptying out a calf ranch just 3 miles out to the North of Barstow. They just kept re-filling it!

I can smell the diesel fuel now--guess I'm a road-dog!! LOL  Those were the days (and nights)

malachirc:  I'm a little 'motley' myself--rough around the edges!

wyomiles:  Howdy, paco!  Where the hell is Sweetwater County?

Jack, sweetwater county is the county where Rock Springs is found. Or were you talking about another Rock Springs ? Miles

I thought you meant Sweetwater County, CA.. Now that you mention it, there was a wide spot in the road north of Rock Springs, WY, called Sweetwater.  Sorry for the misconception on this end.  My bad.
