I flew a vacationing family into Jackson, Wyoming, 5 days ago. The van driver taking our crew to the hotel told us that Delta airlines has negotiated direct airline service from Los Angeles, into Jackson starting this fall. I sincerely hope he was in error.

More Kalifornians is the LAST thing the great state of Wyoming needs.  :(

I'm not sure how a person's current residence or where their parents happened to be when they were born has anything to do with their desirablilty to FSW.

Perhaps people that embrace Far Left Coast Liberal or other Collectivist/Authoritarian values are not what FSW or Wyoming needs (or anyone for that matter) but these sorts come from all kinds of places, including Wyoming.

Not just Kalifornistan.

I'm from Kalifornia and I certainly don't think I'm any sort of collectivist or authoritarian sort at all.

MamaLiberty = hard core anarchist, also escaped from California.

We've got enough handicaps without inventing more of our own over stuff like this. Character and guts are far more important than where you came from.
It's not that people are dumber, it's that stupidity used to be more painful.

As another libertarian California escapee, I understand entirely, Mama!

In my travels around the country, I've found that whether one is a "Kalifornian", or a "Californian", most are initially lumped in with ""KA" by default. Fair or not, there are so many statists in and leaving there, that everyone ends up painted the same way until people get to know them.

It doesn't particularly bother me, since 1) I'm an ex-Californian, 2) I'm a Christian libertarian, and 3) I think there's a difference between a "Kalifornian" and a "Californian."

The term "Kalifornia" seems to connote a collectivist uber-state, like "Neu Jersey" or "Taxachussetts" - A "Kalifornian" is one who supports the leftward march of the state and the country; a statist/collectivist by action, even though many of them claim to detest socialism.

On the other hand, "California" simply refers the the (geographical) state, and a "Californian" is someone who was born and/or raised there.

Just my $0.02.

Thank you, Chris...you're 100% on the money. And no offense intended to the good people from the state of California.

To clarify:  California is a STATE        Kalifornia is a DISEASE

Yes it does and I would have come to just the opposite conclusion based on that.

Someone who uses Kalifornia is denoting that they recognize the collectivist nature of the state of California and are using Kalifornia as a term of derision, not support.

That's my usage at least.   8)   AAYMMV!

California is a wonderful geographic location, but it totally sucks as a state.
