I've been through that cave! It is the greatest thing since natural rights theory!! The thing is big -- it just keeps going back, and back, and back. And there's no guide, you get to explore it yourself. Eventually, on one of the forks, you get to a big waterfall right inside the cave.
On another fork, there's a pool where you have to dive underwater, swim past the rock ceiling that dips below the surface of the water, and then you come up on the other side. At least that's what I'm told. I did not come prepared to make an "X-treme" swim like that so that part will have to wait for another time.
Gear you'll need:
Grubby clothes (long pants are best)
Flashlight
Helmet
Knee pads
Gloves
I think that's all I brought, and I did OK. That's the basic minimum. You'd do well to have a bright headlamp also; my Freedom Flashlight did great, but it was not as bright as some of the others' lights. Oh, and you want to duct tape your kneepads to your knees so they don't slip around.
