There is no better place for a person in your circumstances, than here. Nowhere.
You need to be real flexible in your living arrangements, finding a place to live while sorting through the jobs will be much harder than will be finding employment. Set up your truck, buy a small RV trailer, or whatever. Otherwise you hemmorage your seed money with motels and restaraunt meals.
Back in the glory days of helicopter seismographing, in Alpine, there was about sixty helicopters flying out of that place every morning. And there was nowhere to live. People had jobs, and slept where they could. Crew vans were slept in, they got the nomenclature of "Ritter Hotels." Don't know where that name came from, but people worked and got by as best they could. If the Ritter Hotel was full, people slept under it.
That was a generation ago. The spirit is still here, if you are up to being flexible.
