Does Thermopolis Smell of Sulphur?
« on: September 12, 2007, 09:24:19 PM »
Howdy Folks:

Anyone know how strong the smell of sulphur is at Thermopolis.   It's one of the places we are seriously considering moving to, but I've heard some comments about a strong odor.    Is there an odor of sulphur?  Is is constant?  Is it strong?  Is it everywhere or only near the hot spring?  Thanks in advance for any guidance!

BTY to any short wave listeners:  I've got a radio show on natural health you might be interested in at WWCR 3.215 MHz shortwave or online at  www.wwcr.com/wwcr_listen.html, at 8:30 p.m mountain time shortwave and 8:35 p.m. on line.

Be well and God bless,
Dr. Will

The smell is mostly around the hot springs and then it is not really strong.  You get used to it in about 5 minutes.  Very rarely do you smell it thoughout town.

I've been through Thermopolis on three separate occasions and never smelt the sulphur (or anything else but fresh free air!).

Neat little town.

I've lived near sheep farms in the past and they are worse than swine, cattle, poultry, goats and anything else I can think of.  Just a wretched odor, especially in hot weather. :o  No wonder folks used to fight about sheep vs cattle.  It may have been as much the stink as the grass depletion?

I was sure from the title that this thread was going to be about Bush visiting Wyoming.   >:D
