...about 12-15 folks gather on Super Bowl Sunday for a little celebration and fellowship and no one mentions the Super Bowl.

Your 13-year old doesn't know who "Tebow" is...too busy shooting air rifle, archery, & learning about things he wants to do.

...you are lugging large boxes out of the Post Office and not one, but TWO, gentlemen ask you if you would like help.

(From where I hail, this would be considered a great opportunity to mug you.)

Young man in a grocery store asks you if your gun is a .357m and then proceeds to tell you at length all about his gun - also a .357, but a different brand. No "show," of course, just the "tell" part. :)

My son comes home from his first week in High School impressed that it is OK to pray out in the open in class and the hall ways.

NOTE: Moved from San Diego (where I home schooled my kids) partly because I wanted my son to be able to play Football and Wrestle as he finished up High School. He went to GreyBull High school where he lettered in both Football and Wrestling. The best move I made.

I am grateful to this great state of Wyoming.

From San Diego to GreyBull?  Wow, what a great gift from a father to a son. Well done!

If I had only known.

In 2001 my children's Mom (my xwife) ran off with my horse trainer and good freind leaving me with my children. I filed for divorce in January 2002. Seven horrid years later she finally signed the divorce papers. I got the kids, but the whole thing nearly bankrupted me wiping out my savings and leaving me with about $900,000 in debt. I am now down to about $20,000 in debt.

What did survive was my business "Veretekk" a startup social network Integrated marketing system and my faith in the Lord. Within a month of the papers signed I was called to move to Greybull then to Shell with my son. And move we did.

It was a major blessing and moving here has brought me closer to God and allowed me to heal from the ordeal.

Over the last few years I have divested all connections with California, moved all my corporations to Wyoming (I have 3) and moved my datacenter to Cheyenne, a major endeavor.

My son prospered and healed here to. Both of us closer from the whole adventure and very faithful in our relationship with Jesus. Wyoming is blessed and I pray it stays as a lite house to what freedom and liberty still remain in this country.

...a few FSW'ers are sitting on a porch chatting and get distracted by a loud rattling sound.  Upon investigation, we find the largest beetle I've seen here (at least 2" long) on the ground.  While commenting on its size, we notice a toad a few feet away.

I said "Watch, the toad is going to eat the beetle."  Another:  "No, no, it [the beetle] is too big!"

Hop.  Hop.  Hop.  Gulp!

We all fall into hysterics.

(In Massachusetts, someone would have 'saved' the poor beetle from the evil toad.)   >:D

.... the local ranch supply/feed store (Big R) has more guns, ammunition, shooting accessories, reloading supplies and gun safes - at better prices - than the gun stores in southern California.
It sure feels good to be home at last....  ;D

…a campground owner in Ten Sleep looks at his watch in the evening and says; “I’ve got to go see a guy about a horse.”

Then you realize that he’s telling the truth, and he does NOT have to go to the restroom…

...An acceptable answer for why you are the best candidate for election to XYZ political office is:  "'cuz I wuz born here."

Hope FSW folks are doing well all across Wyoming!  We are busy with summer activities and planning for another winter which will be here much too soon.  While we would trade it for someplace better, if there is any, Wyoming is still the last, best place in the USA for liberty and freedom!!

. . . you call the Crook County Clerk to find out the details of buying a used ATV and the requirement for the "VIN Check" (they want to confirm that the physical VIN matches on any out of state title before issuing a WY title.)

"No, you don't have to transport it into Sundance, we'll send a deputy out to your house to inspect it at no charge!"
Even if I live in the boondocks? "Sure, no problem."

And we thought "house calls" were a thing of the past.  ;D
Of course, not all house calls from a LEO are a good thing, but in this case I don't see the harm since they know exactly where I live anyway.
