I've read through the stickies, so here we go-
About me:
1. Divorced once(last year), in my mid-thirties. However, Should the good Lord allow it, I'd like to find a sweetheart and raise a family on a basically self sufficient farm.
2. I'm looking to live in an area where a man(or womans

) word means just as much as a legal signature on paper. Somewhere where I can have "folks" for neighbors instead of people. This is the type of area I remember from summers on grandpas farm, and I want those days back. I bought a house in town, and proceeded to chase the supposed American dream. Wrong dream. Money is not the almighty goal in life, nor is a fancy car or a big house, as I'd been led to believe.
3. I've studied and read everything I know how to find on Wyoming, hoping I can "make the jump" debt free and bring some useful skills with me. Know this- When I head there, this time it's for keeps, an I'm not scared of work that's either hard or work that some would call demeaning(I've been literally over my head in pig poop on the farm before, and if I have to clean stalls again, fine by me.)
I've lived there before for a few years as a child when dad worked the mines near Green River, and I have a sibling that spent a couple years in Evanston who will be coming back home to Wyoming as well with his wife and children.
As far as the Second Amendment goes, I'm on board with you. Currently in my state of residence I am a range officer for 2 local ranges, put 40-50 kids per month through hunter education, and am certified as a rifle, pistol, and shotgun instructor through the NRA, as well as having a a life membership in the NRA, GOA, and CCRKBA organizations.
I've spent a lot of time wondering where I can raise my family with traditional values, self reliance, and a love of freedom. Looks like I've found the place!!
