Got a Wyoming car now and moving boxes
« on: July 26, 2012, 01:48:12 PM »
Well, a couple things are coming together for a Wyoming move if/when my place sells.  Two days ago I traded my 2010 Honda Insight for a 2007 Honda Acura RDX.  The Acura had 73K miles v the 53K miles on my Insight, but wow, what a difference in cars!  Only bad thing about the Acura is now I am spoiled.  Got to get acquainted with all its bells and whistles yet, but do like the rear-view camera and the turbo-charged engine, and I can tow a trailer with it.  It was a little embarrassing taking off on a green light and looking back and wondering where the other cars were.  They were basically still at the light.  Have never experienced that kind of get-up and go.

A couple who just moved here from Arizona had a whole bunch of professional moving boxes they were giving away, so I snagged most of them, along w/wrapping paper.  Something weird happened when I got on my home computer and brought up mapquest to see how to get to their place.  When I got in the car, the nav system came on and started to tell me how to get there!  I didn't program it, it must have picked up the info from my computer.  Now that is almost scary.

Well, I am leery of GPS tracking.  Like so much of technology, it is a double-edged sword.

Wishing you a good journey and arrival sooner rather than later.
I just got WY plates on the second of my 2 vehicles today - feeling more and more official every day.
Only been here 15 days, will wait on the WY DL, gotta order a certified birth certificate.
At this rate, I will be moved into my new house by the end of August.

Take care,
JT
