ADVERTISEMENT - Springs, parts, pins, mags etc.
« on: July 11, 2006, 05:02:37 PM »
For FSW Members ONLY

(PTB, if this needs edited, I understand.)

Ok. I?ve been knocking this idea around since the Jam- any input welcomed.

In case demand exists for a source for affordable firearms parts & accessories (NOT Frames, NOT Receivers- so basically, NOT guns, per the board rules!) I submit this idea for your approval:

As a licensee, I can often obtain parts at a cost lower than the general public.
As long as I am not selling a firearm, I have no record-keeping requirements, other than $ amounts (for tax purposes.)

Example:
AR15 Charging Handle Assembly- $19.95 retail plus shipping from a major vendor
My Cost: Around $13
Will it fit in an envelope and cost less than a buck to ship? Yup.  $1 shipping.
My cut: $2
Total cost to you: $16

Why would I do this? 1) its FSW! 2) Free Advertising 3) Build my reputation 4) $ to pay down debts to facilitate getting to Wyoming eventually!

If there is something that you are looking to acquire from the big Iowa-Based catalog that starts with ?B,? (or elsewhere) then someone could contact me, and I?d see what I can get for a decent price.
Naturally, I will mark it up. But for FSW members, I will not mark it up much.
Mutual benefit & all that.
If someone that is a board member already and sells a product, I do not want to step on their toes, so please do not ask for discounts on those types of things (like MD Labs FX7- which is really good stuff, BTW.)

I cannot guarantee any rhyme or reason to the discounts given; I will not put myself in a position to lose $. Then again, not everyone that sells parts will keep you off of a mailing list and accept cash or money orders, either.

Obviously, item delivery would be a bit slower than a normal order, as items would come to me, then be re-shipped at my convenience.
I will likely only ship once a week, for now.

A few $ saved here and there can really add up, assuming you are not in a super-big hurry to get an item.
PLUS, who wants to buy

Email inquiries preferred to IM, or you can always call me; my number is on the website.
FRN or MO ok; personal check is ok too.

PS I happen to have 4 l1a1 Bolts & Carriers (used) available for sale or trade; can bring to the Jam if need be.
Fit Metric or inch, either or. Sand cuts.
Lots of small FAL stuff on auctionarms right now.

Cool man, I've been putting off building up spare parts kits for too long, so expect a list from me shortly. ;D

Regarding that place in Iowa whose name begins in "B", I have some Teflon/Moly spray-on metal treatment from that fine establishment, and I need the solvent for same so I can use my little Harbor Freight airbrush to apply it to some of my projects.

Would appreciate your assistance in getting this solvent, and would like to keep the business in the FSW community.

Hey, have you had luck with Shooting Star mag followers?  I have a few Tom Forrest stainless M1911 magazines, and want to increase capacity to 8, improve reliability.  The original roundtop followers jam into the slide lock so I have problems removing them.

Want to get 3 to try.  If this route doesn't work, I'll back off and get whole magazines of reputable brand.

any info on FAL's?
Cross roads come along in the journey called life. Some are obvious, some are so subtle you might miss them. But when you come to one and a decision need to be made, which direction and path will you walk down.

Bear-
Naturally, I can get FALs.
I can also ship them to a WY-based FFL.
Just depends on what a fella is looking for-
I do not and will not have anything "un-papered" for sale in the way of receivers or firearms, though.
