Howdy folks
« on: September 14, 2006, 10:10:27 AM »
I've been cruising the site for about a week and finally got a chance to sit down and prepare a decent introduction. My name is Paul and my family and I have 13 acres of deeded ground in Missouri Valley, between Shoshoni and Riverton. I grew up in the Wind River canyon and was a Shoshoni grad myself. After several years of relocation which included a stint in the USMC Infantry, Ocala Fl., Bucksport Me., and several others I returned to the Wind River Basin to raise a family. I wanted my children to grow up in an area of extended community where self reliance is a practice, not an ideal, and to ensure that my children would always have a place to return to. My wife and I believe in being good christian neighbors as well as "makin' a hand". We are conservative in nature and feel that only through our childrens future can we restore the values of the past. We have horses, goats, and chickens in addition to the traditional cats and dogs. We feel that they are important educational tools for the kids more than anything. We strive to instill a strong work ethic in our children and raise them with the attitude that quitting is not an option. We enjoy our great state and take any available opportunity to get out there whether it be camping, shooting, or geocaching (MTNHIDUO). Although we tend to be somewhat isolated, we encourage our kids to take a broader view of the world and how it affects them. Haven't decided yet whether I will become a full member, but I salute your efforts and would offer any assistence that I can to anyone who needs it, the gate is always open. I am glad to see that there are still like minded individuals out there trying to network. I've been familiar with Boston's work since pre2K and have taken some of his ideals to heart, keep up the good work. Look forward to getting better acquainted in the future. Kindest regards, Paul Allen.

Welcome, Paul and family! We're delighted to have you with us. It's wonderful to be welcomed by Wyoming natives, and the friendliness here in my new "hometown" of Newcastle never ceases to be a thing of wonder and delight to this old California escapee...

Wind River is a tad out of range for me, but you just never know. If you ever come east, anywhere near Newcastle, please know that my door is open, the coffee is on and you are more than welcome any time.

God bless and keep you!

It's not that people are dumber, it's that stupidity used to be more painful.

Welcome, Paul. It's nice to see how our group seems to attract "people of substance".
