bobcat - Yup. I'd be all over the barter system. Anything to help lower my bloodpressure over the amount of book-keeping required for a hobby that wants to be a business. Yah - day labor can be helpful it's just finding one that's sober or out of jail the one day in a month I need him!  ::) Any other day I can find thirty people who want me to pay them $100 to hang a picture... $100 to help carry drywall in? *ahem* "got bail?"

Impressive time on that church raising... I'd still be unloading my van.  ;D

Shooter - Thank you for the info. Got the URL and that's some pretty property you've bought into. Some trees & hills to help make the transition but wow - some long distance views too!

Fortunately, I have a short list of some friends that enjoy doing the work on a very part time basis.  I also help them from time to time in that regard.  Fortunately, none of us have any problems staying sober and out of the cooler.  We have too much to do to even contemplate stepping in that direction.  Those relationships will be hard to leave behind.  On the other hand, I look forward to striking up those kinds of relationships in WY/MT.

You and me both. ;)  First time someone told me about such a thing, I thought, no possible way. The first one I went to was as much curiosity as desire to help.  Make no mistake, there were A LOT of folks doing A LOT of preplanning and prepositioning of 'stuff' to pull this off.  I am still in awe of someone even THINKING it could be pulled off.  My hat is off to them.

I'm sure there will be a call for mobile hammerheads if only 1% of the people here actually make a move to WY. Shouldn't be hard to establish a new network just from people on this forum & those they have direct experience with. Distance between people would be the tough thing but not insurmountable given the common goals many here have. That's another thread I guess - sorry to hijack!

That is one of the Forum's primary goals... to serve as a conduit to help establish those networks.  ;)  Getting people together in real life and to Wyoming is the mission. All the debate that goes on and the news items that get posted are just icing on the cake.

Thanks for repeating that J, I for one am grateful for the reminder, as that was my reasoning for joining up.  All too easy to get lost in the 'interesting' conversation.  Speaking for myself, the forum is working, as I have found several folks with similar interests and life skill sets.  Now, I just need to get these FSW monikers coupled with faces and more 'normal' names.  Easier to remember 'who' your conversing with.  See you at the Jam. ~W~

Clemac, thanks for the 'approval' ;)  I was pretty 'cheesed' when I read about it, especially when I got to the part about how everybody took cover for the sake of 'total protection' and comments about how the cops 'took charge'- atfter the fact of course.  At least these cops appeared to be rushing into harms way to take the perp(s) out?  Should have expected as much from CNN (Communist News Network) as they are co-conspirators in victimology. >:(

Ehhh, gotta get back to work. :) ~W~

colonial shooter, welcome here, and thanks for coming aboard.

I'll be handling FSW biz all this week, your SofI included, as I'm
sure it's arrived by now.  I'll upgrade you, and PM you then.

Congrats on your Wyoming land purchase!

Thanks Boston and everyone else here. I have a question about cellular service. I am told that there is adequate service on the remote home site. But who can tell me the company with the best reception and service in the area of Medicine Bow?I currently have Sprint but could change if another is better.
