Hello FSWers
« on: November 02, 2007, 08:06:29 PM »
About me:
Started military when 17 in CA Army national guard, went to college after high school to stay on Dad's insurance.  Joined Navy after 6 years in the NG, spent 6 years as a electronics technician, nuclear.  (I was one of those guys who ran the reactors)(USS Enterprise)  Got out and spent 2 years in NC as an electronics technician for Firestone as a result of their settlement for the tire thing.  Moved to Idaho and have almost 2 years as a technician at Micron.  Working towards physics degree through BSU, having a full time job, a faithful wife and a bright young boy (was going to homeschool before I heard of you all) I will probably have another 4 to 8 years before I can get my BS done.  Been involved with firearms since early childhood, but couldn't stand muzzle blast until 17.  Currently hunt with 300RUM, and am selling off junk guns to fund a LR308 from DPMS.  Read Molon Labe last week and found this website a few days ago.  First time I've found other people that more or less think like me.

I figured I'd introduce myself, as I'm hoping to talk my wife into checking out next year's jamboree.

My name is Frank, her name is Kris.

Howdy Frank and Kris, glad you found us ! Yes be sure to plan to attend the Jam and bring your freinds. It is a great way to put faces to the names.
Isn't JR Simplot involved in Micron ? I worked for him at a fertilizer plant in Wyoming.
Be sure to have Kris chime in with any questions she may have too.

I don't think Simplot is involved, but I don't know everything!

My wife hasn't even started reading about you guys yet.

Welcome Frank and Kris! How wonderful to have you here, and I hope you can both come to the '08 Jam. It is a very special thing to walk among so many who share your values and dreams - and get to know them personally.

There are actually quite a few ladies on this forum, though many don't post much. I can't speak for them, but I am happy to talk with Kris any time, and I suspect most of the others would be glad to do that too. We can help her understand all this from a woman's perspective and give encouragement as well as offer true friendship.

Let us know how we can help! MamaLiberty

Welcome!  :)

There's lots of Navy guys here, I'm going in in a year or so myself, HM. I've always loved the Navy, I'm even working on a 3 foot, 1/350 scale model of the Big E. That's so cool that you were on her. (That sounds bad...couldn't think of a better way though!  ;) )

Glad you're checking this out. You'll really like the jam, and even moreso the people that you'll meet.

Keep reading; keep posting!  ~W~

Dear Orbital-Burn,

Welcome here!  You might also like some of the projects of the Sovereigns of the High Frontier Society.  http://www.hisovs.org/

Regards,

My long posts make some think I'm a key figure in FSW.  I'm not. I'm not an officer nor a leader.  I'm just this guy.  I think FSW is a great idea, & defend & promote it as I'm able.   Assuming that anyone agrees w/me is mistaken. Your bad results from your poor assumptions are your responsibility.
