Hi again Freedog. I reread my post from last night, and it does come off a little unwelcoming. I apologize for that, I was a little punchy, and as MamaLiberty said, there is some initial wariness toward lawyers. But I'm sure everybody here knows there are good lawyers that do good work, and that can be a huge boon to the freedom movement.
What I said about the minarchy and the debating is a bit of an inside joke about things here, that of course you wouldn't know the context for, and might interpret as being pokes at you or your beliefs. That's not it at all. We have some anarchists here, I am one, but it is not an anarchist board nor movement. It's about getting back to a true originalist constitutional federal republic. Even more so, it's about living a good life in a relatively free part of a mostly unfree country, and about helping each other out. We do have some good-natured arguments over differing political visions, but we all get along fine and are working toward the same general goals. I am one of those who jumps at the chance for pedantic, "angels on the head of a pin" arguments, but it's usually all in fun, and in the end, we're pretty much all about business and getting things done here.
I'm not in Wyoming yet, I'm still an outsider, so I always feel awkward about welcoming people to the state, but I do welcome you to the board.
As I said, I'd guess that Jackson, from a strictly income point of view, might be the best place for a lawyer to set up shop, but it's the very liberal part of the state. Almost like Wyoming's Berkely or Boulder. I'm sure there's work to be had all over, and a lawyer ready to fight the good fight could succeed and be welcomed anywhere in the state. Others probably have more detailed insights about that.
