Any suggestions?
A couple. You seem to have a nice place in Ky, and having spent some time there at the resort area of Ft Knox, I don't reckon the Wyoming winters or landscape would be too much of a shock to you.
I think you might find the Black Hills area not too-dissimilar to Northern KY, at least. They originally called it the Black Hills because of all the tree trunks, not for the color of the rocks. We're talking up around Devil's Tower [Crook County] and Newcastle [Weston Co.] here.
If you've ever seen the movie *Close Encounters of the Third Kind,* that's Crook County and the Devil's Tower area, though obviously, the moviemakers cherrypicked for scenery. Likewise, if you've ever been to Mount Rushmore or the biker party at Sturgiss in South Dakota, you'd recognize the scenery.
It's not all sagebrush [actually, more grassland] and wide-open spaces, though there's plenty of that to be found in the Cowboy state, but I think if I was in your shoes, I'd make myself as comfortable as possible in KY, then come visit in Wyoming and check out a couple of the prettier corners of the place. Then if the Democratics and lefties in Louisville and Frankfort make Kentucky living a lot less pleasant than it is now, you'll have some ideas about a place you can go to should you choose to vote with your fett- and you'll have some pals in some pretty good hunting country.
Hope to see you in Wyoming!
