Just another Wyoming bound family.
« on: December 26, 2009, 11:30:07 AM »
Hello everyone.  I am just another "freak" looking to live somewhere there is true freeedom abound.  I feel governments are encrouching way too far into the private areas of individual Americans.  Everything I have read so far I like.  My wife and I are also looking to raise our four young children somewhere you can still grow up with true American principals and learning it is about LIVING and not money.  I look forward to meeting and conversing with more of you as time goes on.

I was a previous resident, for a couple of years, and am now finding out why I crave to move back to that wounderful state.  Hopefully it will take much less than the pledge of seven years to get it done.

FF,
Nice to hear from you. Nice post. I love it here. Wouldn't live anywhere else. Freedom is a hard thing to measure or explain to people that don't value it. Hopefully you can come pay all of us a visit or come to the summer festival. That would be a great time to see what we're all about.

Thanks for the greeting ManfromNevada.  I'm starting the book Molon Labe!  I'm guessing it will be a good read.  That is what I have been told.  Just a side note, the book 1984 by George Orwell, doesn't it scare anybody just really how close to that type of society it is now.  The most scary response I get, usually from the drone type personality, is "well, what can you do about it?",  drives me nuts.  Sorry that is just one of my rants, just like the percentage of people actually voting to those who are eligable.  Don't people see and care?  Sounds like most people in this forum are of the same concern.  About time I found some truely good company.

the problem isn't too few people voting, it is too many voting. Just because you are breathing and over 18, doesn't mean you can make good choices about who should govern.

AND while at the same time they were expanding the vote, they were watering down the representation by freezing the Reps to 435 AND by implementing the 17th amendment.

And guess what they froze the number at 435 in.......drum roll please.......

"March 4, 1913    435    Apportionment of the Thirteenth Census. House size locked by Public Law 62-5, excepting temporary expansions due to the admission of new states."

But alas...those founding fathers did say no LESS than one rep per 30,000...can you imagine the kind of REAL representation we'd have if there were 10,000 folks up there right now?  Could you imagine the "power blocks" to come out of 10-15 "parties" from diverse BUT agreeing geographic regions?  Check out...http://thirty-thousand.org/ they think the number should be 30,000..."Thirty-thousand.org advocates the bill passed by the House in 1789: to require there be at least one Representative for every 50,000 people. At the current population level of approximately 300 million people, that formulation would require a minimum of 6,000 congressional districts."

Not only were they destroying the power of votes, they were making the number to be controlled/bought off more REASONABLE.

This is one more reason I am now a Bill of Rights American Individualist with an Anarchist-lean (because guess what, the Bill of Rights if EXERCISED protect themselves and they don't need to create a Ring of Power) versus a Constitutionalist.

I do believe that everyone should vote, but if you are voting you should well be learning about what the candidates are all about.  Not just listening to the "evening news" and considering yourself educated on the candidates.  That is the whole problem is people don't want to spend the time, or frankly even worse, they don't care because they are brainwashed in subsidized income.  If people really took the time to learn I don't think this country would be in the shape it is in.

Munumit you do bring up a good point.  I don't believe the people are actually represented like they should be.  Obviously you have done quite a bit of extensive research, thanks, gives me something to think about.

Howdy Freedomfam, what part of Wyoming did you spend time in before?

@Wyomiles
I spent two years in Evanston.  I travled the state quite a bit while I was there and was really considering the Shoshoni area.  Still have a friend that lives out there.  At that time in my life I did the usual thing and moved away for more money.  Surprise!  Wasn't worth it.  We all learn from our mistakes, oh-well.  As long as you learn, I guess.

Home schooling is definitely something my wife and I are interested in.  Tell me, was it a seemingly big jump when you pulled them out of public school, or maybe they have always been home schooled. Thanks.

My son went to private school for kindergarten and public school for first grade.  He was pulled out and homeschooled from then until he graduated.  The other children have never been in school outside of the home.  The first couple of years were a little difficult for both of us(me and my son) because I was so brainwashed from being in public school myself.  I had to overcome the misconception that the only way to do things was like they do them in the public school system.  I have since grown-hehe- and the way we school in no way resembles the public school system.

Right on Brandy! ;D ;D ;D  Glad you pulled your children out of the government schooling meat grinder...you literally snatched your son back from the jaws of the leviathon.  Hats off to you, ma'am!

Hi, Brandy we're trying, we're trying!!  ;) Chris is applying for a job this week. We'll see what happens. Cross our fingers.  :)

If you pull your kids out of public school you want to give them time to "decompress." There are many books on the subject, you could also Scroggle (safe way to Google) it and get lots of information. I also wanted to give you thumbs up for considering taking your kid(s) out of the indoctrination camps!! I homeschool and have been well, since they were born.  ;) I have been reading every homeschooling book I could get my hands on for about 2 yrs now. The more I read the more convicted I/we get. ;D
