We are Moving to Wyoming!
« on: February 10, 2010, 08:20:06 PM »
;D Hello all, we have had a very busy 2009. We traveled from our home in Fort Worth Texas to Wyoming in June of 2009 on a fact finding mission. We pulled a small camper and with our 11 year old granddaughter and our 2 Papillons (Sir Kingsley and The Baron) we started exploring where we wanted to relocate in Wyoming. We finally settled on the Big Horn Basin in a small community called Clark at the base of the Beartooth Mountains. My wife (Ann the Artist) and I will be moving this coming May to the 10 acres we purchased in October.

Our decision to relocate to Wyoming was reinforced by all the positive posts here on the forum.  What a great feeling to know there truly are like-minded people still in the good ol' US. Thanks everyone!

We are planning to go to the 2010 Freedom Expo and Campout in June.

Just adding my 2 cents for what it is worth.

I'll be tickled to meet you! This camp-out is shaping up to be a jim-dandy!

Thanks Mama Liberty. Ann and I are looking forward to meeting you. We both have enjoyed reading your posts. It gives us hope for California. We thought that truly was the state of fruit and nuts. lol

Is the camp out for tents only? We have a 5th wheel trailer we will be living in for a while. Will be towing it over the Big Horns for the expo.

Good heavens, not just tents. There are few hookups (or none), but lots of folks bring campers and trailers. There are also commercial campgrounds and motels in Newcastle for those so inclined. I'll post a list if anyone wants it.

Hi Bill!  Congratulations!  I am not yet in Wyoming, but I am working on it.  As soon as I can find some work, I will be there.  I look forward to meeting you and your family at the Expo this summer.

Welcome. You picked a real nice area to settle in. If you're in need of anything when you come through Cheyenne just give a holler.

Thanks Dr.Tramp,
When I was driving truck over the road, I spent a fair bit of time in Cheyenne. We had a terminal there and I seemed to breakdown after leaving Laramie and next stop is Cheyenne.
