$3.41 yesterday in Newcastle at the Sinclair.  Goes up and down almost daily, sometimes in large leaps. I can only imagine what a nightmare it must be to run a gas station these days.

At least there IS gas with no lines! You may remember that happening in the 70's, maybe someday it will happen again. (Not including things like storms)

Yes, I do remember. My first husband managed a Shell station during those years. The station was in a small town on the outskirts of San Bernardino. They were very busy at times, and occasionally could not get gas at all, but I don't remember any long lines. I suspect that was mostly a big city thing.

Just back from Italy where gas is just over $6/gallon.  At least the wine was a bargain!
