I've thought about getting a ham license off and on for years. Don't know if I need it but articles like this make me want it.  ;)

An interesting article about the freedom minded aspects of ham radio.
And even though "ToFreedom" hasn't posted here in years, I keep in touch via ham radio (with other FSW members) at least once a week.

You can tell David has been a radio operator for a LONG time; great article!
His second Radio call sign (CP6XZ) is for Santa Cruz, Bolivia.  On recent trips
thereabouts there were serious radio antennas on half of the houses in the
gated areas.
