Some Christians look down on Masons due to the occult overtones of certain aspects of the organization.
So much for "judge not, lest ye be judged..."
As usual, the most misquoted scripture being used again. Christians don't "look down" on anyone if they are truly Christians, but have compassion on those who, like themselves, are prone to sin, and having compassion try to WARN people of evil wherever it is, from the president, king, dogcatcher on down. I'm sorry if some so called Christians have a superior attitude, that is something that hopefully they are dealing with. I merely noted what is the Christian, and Catholic position on secret societies. Judgement is God's job, fruit checking is a Christians. YOU all do it, when you look at a person, listen to their speech, and note their actions. It is not wrong, and your self righteous quote of "judge not lest ye be judged" forgets the second part of the verse as well as the context and the rest of scripture. Selective citing is poor scholarship.
Example:
Rom 2:13 Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things.2 We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who do such things.3 Do you suppose, O man--you who judge those who do such things and yet do them yourself--that you will escape the judgment of God?
Hypocritical judgement is wrong, that was not done, was it?
