Didn't I see those two photos on the Post Office wall under "WANTED"?
Some kind of right-wing extremist/terrorists?
Clinging to their guns and religion?

I think I'll get my Photo Shop de-blurring software out and see if I can find their address.
Expect a visit from your local JBTs shortly!

I thought about the de-blurring, but I took the info OUT, then covered with black, then used paintbrush to fix. There's no info to recover!

As for the JBTz, I doubt they're interested in me, I'm just a horse fly in a nation of angry wolverines. But I think my NRA, GOA, JPFO and WGO memberships, and ammo purchases, etc, as well as registering to vote libertarian, my amazon order list (five BTP books, among other things), my google searches, and now using encrypted e-mail, and using my real name to constantly complain on the internet probably already have me on the long list already, given the current profiling. (Which is also racial and religious, I'm white and went to a protestant school, I think that's all considered "iffy" in this administration's watch list.)

I'm not motivated enough to end up on the short list. And I don't think it's "yet time."
And if they are tapping my phone, they're probably bored. I'm not what they're looking for, and I'm not even that interesting.

WE SAW DEER! WE SAW DEER!

Took a walk tonight, saw two male deer in a field two blocks from our house!!!! Yay! In the city!
We got about 20 feet away. I was saying "wish I had a camera", DJ reminded me that my cell phone has one, but they were about 100 feet away when I took it, and you can't see it, even blown up.

But really made our day, and really made us even gladder we moved here!  ~W~

This is a big deal?

When you see a mountain lion or a buffalo in town, then you'll have something.

The only question with that deer is, how do you get him into your freezer?  :)

Well, only had a .357 on me, that's not an ethical deer gun, is it?
(Or maybe it is, at 20 feet!)

Yes, the .357 would kill a deer at close range - say, if it attacked you. But you really don't want that to happen. :) You might not have TIME to draw and fire!

An attack is NOT out of the question if you get too close. Unfortunately, many of the deer are fed by humans and lose much of their natural fear of humans, but they remain wild animals and they can really, really hurt you fast if they suddenly feel threatened. Their hooves are sharp and will shred you like a knife.

So watch them from a distance and enjoy the sight while you can. If you ever have gardens or such that you'd rather make use of your self, you'll soon learn why a lot of folks in Wyoming call them damndeer.

Passable deer gun in a lever action, long barrel.
OAL = 1.59
Case = 1.29
Bullet = 158gr JHP
Velocity = 1600fps
Energy (muzzle) = 898ftlb
Energy (150yd) = 508ftlb

Enough energy at 150 yards to be effective, but Wyoming not only has a minimum energy requirement, but also has a minimum OAL,

Wyoming Game and Fish Commission, Chapter 32, Regulation Governing Firearm Cartridges;

Quote
Section 4. Firearms and cartridges that are legal for the taking of big or trophy game animals.
(a) Wyoming statutes authorize the use of a firearm which has a barrel bore diameter of at least twenty-three-hundredths (23/100) of an inch and is chambered to fire a center-fire cartridge not less than two (2) inches in overall length, including a soft or expanding point bullet seated to a normal depth, or a muzzle-loading rifle which has a barrel bore diameter of at least forty-hundredths (40/100) of an inch and a charge of at least fifty (50) grains of black powder or equivalent, or a muzzle-loading specialty single shot handgun which has a barrel length of not less than ten (10) inches, a bore diameter of at least forty-five-hundredths (45/100) of an inch and which propels a projectile of two hundred forty (240) grains at not less than five hundred (500) foot pounds at one hundred (100) yards.
(b) In addition, the Commission authorizes any other cartridge fired from a firearm that has a barrel bore diameter of at least thirty-five hundredths (35/100) of an inch and the cartridge generally delivers at least five hundred (500) ft-pounds of impact at one hundred (100) yards and cartridges used are loaded with a soft, or expanding point bullet.

Even though the .357 & 45colt can be loaded to meet the minimum energy requirement, they both fail under the minimum OAL requirement
Of course, if one of the blood-thirsty things attacks you, you really don't have any choice now do you???
As regards, getting close to nature? They are wild animals and if they don't get what they want (food, salt, etc.) they will fight for it. Many people have been killed, or injured by "pet" deer.
You what they say ..... take lots of pictures, leave nothing but entrails.

Ok, but I shot a lot of deer with my old 30-30 and never knew any of that stuff.  >:D  I just knew they went down and I got to take the good stuff home. :)

Sorry if I was not clear about the response being just for the .357 mag in a rifle (lever action).

.30-30 is a whole different animal, lighter bullet, much higher velocity, > 1Ton of energy at the muzzle.

Oh, I understand THAT, BU... :)  I know the 30-30 is one hell of a good deer gun. But I also know a lot of meat is harvested with much smaller and poorer rounds than that. The distance and the shot placement are the important things, in my opinion, of course.

Just saying that few of us understand all those numbers and such. I have no idea what OAL is, for instance. Might want to define things like that to edify folks like me. :)

Of course, if one of the blood-thirsty things attacks you, you really don't have any choice now do you???

I'm reminded of South Park,....on that cartoon, didn't the town invoke a hunting ban, so whenever Ned and Jimbo go hunting, they always yell "IT'S COMIN' RIGHT AT YOU, NED!" and claim self-defense when they shoot something? lol....

But seriously, yeah, these deer were close enough they coulda gored us in as much time as it would have taken to draw, even though I had my hand on the gun in my pocket. I was a little nervous, DJ wasn't. they did look pretty damn tame, especially standing in front of an apartment complex while some guy was talking on his cell phone and his kid was playing nearby.

That's why they are dangerous, Michael. They "look" tame, but they are not. They are unpredictable wild animals in an unnatural environment. Distance is your friend, as from any threat. :)

Why are you guys giving 'Arnie' such a rough time? He's doing the job Skynet sent him to do, isn't he?
